Insurance & Benefit Programs

For over 15 years, ACEC/MN and Gallagher Benefit Services of Minnesota (GBS) have worked together to provide ACEC/MN members the best in employee benefit programs.

Working with top rated insurance carriers ACEC/MN and GBS have developed a menu of employee benefit plans that are specifically designed to meet your distinctive needs. Participating member firms have found the products to be an outstanding value due to their comprehensiveness and competitive pricing.

For all benefit programs: Employer groups must have at least five eligible employees to participate in these programs.

Overview of Benefits:

  • Health Insurance
    • ACEC/MN members can contact Mike Fewer at 952-356-3588 to discuss the plans available to meet your groups specific and unique health insurance needs.
  • Dental Insurance
    • In partnership with Delta Dental of Minnesota, we are proud to offer a dental plan that is exclusive to the members of the ACEC/MN.

This product was designed to encourage preventive care while providing comprehensive coverage for basic and major services. Optional Orthodontic coverage is also available!

UNUM Provident is a top rated carrier in the Life and Disability marketplace. We are pleased to offer the members of the ACEC/MN the following products available either separately or as a comprehensive life and disability package.

Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance


Employers can choose Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance at either 1x or 2x the annual salary of an employee to a maximum benefit amount of either $50,000 or $75,000. Other schedules of coverage are available for firms with more than 25 employees.

Voluntary Life Insurance

Voluntary Life Insurance is available for employees, spouses and children.

Employee coverage is available in $10,000 increments to the lesser of 5x a persons salary or $500,000.

Spouse coverage is available in $5,000 increments to $500,000.

Child coverage is available in $2,000 increments to $10,000 for ages six months to age 19 or 26 (if a full-time student). For children less than six months of age the benefit is $100.

Long Term Disability

This plan offers several levels of coverage and features including:

  • 60% or 662/3% income replacement levels
  • professional 'own occupation' definition of disability
  • maximum monthly benefit of $6,000 or more
  • partial disability provision
  • survivor benefit
  • optional cost of living allowance (COLA)
  • 90 or 180 day elimination period

All UNUM products available through the ACEC / MN will automatically include UNUM's Worldwide Emergency Travel Assistance Program and UNUM's Work-Life Balance Employee Assistance Program at no additional cost!

Worldwide Emergency Travel Assistance Program

provides 24-hour global access to emergency medical and legal resources for employees and their families any time they travel more than 100 miles from home. The broad range of services include assistance with finding lost luggage, access to English-speaking and Western-trained doctors or facilities anywhere in the world and emergency prescription services.

Work-life Balance Employee Assistance Program

provides 24-hour access to information and referrals to assist employees and their families manage workplace stresses as well as personal and family issues.
